Why is my guitar input jack crackling?

So when I plug in my cable i can play the guitar, but if the cable sits a certain way then the guitar crackles and cuts out. I'm positive its the jack on the guitar because there are no problems with my other guitar. I moved it and held it in one spot and had no problems. HELP PLEASE?!?!
