Is it normal to miss my boyfriend so much?

Me and my boyfriend had been best friends for 2 years in which time he also fancied me the whole time. We've been going out for like 3 months now and we spend 4 or 5 days a week together if we can usually and we miss eachother pretti quickly. At the moment i'm not allowed out and havn't seen him for 6 days until today; when i had to be home he couldn't let go and held my hand when i went to go home (sweeet i know) but we miss each other like an unreal amount and i've had a few boyfriends i've never felt like this before........is this because i'm so in love with him or am i too dependable on him?
