Who becomes duke when he dies and he has no heir?
If a Duke dies and he has no sons, the title pes to the next legitimate heir (a brother, a brothers son etc). When there is NO heir either apparent or presumptive (in other words, if the entire line is now extinct), the title itself becomes extinct.
