Is there any way to avoid it mother taking unborn child?

I recently have been told that im a father to be. Well she decided to wait three months to tell me. I was happy as you can imagine. The relationship was not great and after talking to her again she told me that she decided that she was going to have the baby back in my country(el salvador). She was going to leave the baby with her sister for 2 years. Of course i reacted and told her that how can she decide to do something like that and i told her that i wasnt going to let something like that happen. Well now she is telling me that i cant do anything until it is proven that the baby is mine with DNA testing. My question is can she do that? I fear that if she does have the baby over there i may not be able to have any rights after the baby is born, especially if the baby is mine. Can she be legally stopped from leaving the country until she has the baby. I dont know what to do. I know mothers have more rights than dad and i dont know how to go about this problem. Im living in canada
