Criticisms of the US; should I just be thankful for any compliment?

Because the USA is the best greatest and most powerful country in the world we are also the number one target for criticism whether warranted or not. Goes with the territory. Those outside complain because they are resentful and jealous of our country and those inside who complain are spoiled and have no clue what life is like in third world countries.
